St. Francis' Catholic Primary School

"For it is in giving that we receive." St. Francis of Assisi

Our first few weeks at school.

22nd September 2017

Cherry class has been having great fun settling into school. Here are some of the things that we have been up to.

We have been making patterns on a peg board and concentrating until we finished the task.
We having been telling each other stories using our puppet theatre.
We have been learning to share and work with each other in our imaginative play.
We have really enjoyed playing with the small world toys and getting to know each other.
We have used mirrors to look at our faces and then had a go at painting them. What lovely smiling faces!
We have been practising our fine motor skills by colouring in a picture of the cross to go on our RE books. We tried to stay in the lines and not scribble.
We have also been practising writing our names, holding the pen and forming letters correctly.
We also have had circle time where we played some games and then passed the teddy around the circle telling everyone our names and what we are good at.
We all love playing on the computer. Here we are playing some number games.
We also love being outside, investigating the sand and water areas, and playing in the play house.
We are fabulous musicians and enjoy riding around in our toy cars.
We are a lovely class and Miss Nash and Mrs Turner enjoy working with us already. We have the best smiles in the school!

To find out more about what we are doing in school, parents and carers are invited to a meet the teacher session in our class on Wednesday 27th September at 3:30pm. Miss Nash is looking forward to seeing you all then.
