Our Wonderful Year!
Please enter an introduction for your blog post here.
Over the past year, Maple Class has enjoyed taking part in a wide range of activities, which has broadened their understanding across all subjects.
We have been on several trips including the Winchester Science Centre, Kenley Aerodrome, Woldingham School and Wintershall. On all of the trips, the children were praised for their enthusiasm and the way that they comported themselves by members of the public.
They have also greatly enjoyed learning a musical instrument, as well as the end of year concert, where they demonstrated their learning over the past year. This was watched and enjoyed by the whole school.
We have also taken part in a variety of outdoor learning experiences, which the children absolutely loved including games, sketching and building shelters! Maple Class have enjoyed using our personal garden to support them with this.
During Science Week, the children sent their rockets into space. Fortunately, some of the astronauts even survived the perilous journey! In response to this fun topic, Nicole kindly entered a competition for us, which she won and resulted in us being visited by the Tim Peake Bus. This day was thoroughly enjoyed by all the children. Thank you Nicole!
All of our School Council, Eco-Warriors, Librarians and Playground Leaders have done a fantastic job throughout the year and we are extremely proud of them.
We would like to thank you all for your help and support throughout the year and wish the children all the best for Year 6. We know that they will continue to thrive and succeed in everything that they do.
