Our First Holy Communion Liturgy

Tuesday 13th June

On Tuesday we gathered in the school hall with Rowan class.
We dressed up in our First Communion outfits to celebrate the making of this important sacrament together.
We sat and listened to a reading from the Bible about the Last Supper. We then thought about why the Sacrament of Holy Communion is such an important one, because we are now old enough to receive the body and blood of Christ.
We sang some hymns and said some prayers of thanks together. Year 2 came to join us as they will be making their First Holy Communion next year.
After our liturgy we had a little party, we had juice and some delicious cupcakes which Mrs Couch had made for us.
We had to take great care not to get anything on our beautiful dresses.
We had a lovely time together and really enjoyed the afternoon.
We were very well behaved and our teachers were very proud of us.
Thank you to all our parents for allowing us to wear our outfits again.
