We started our week with a science investigation into which materials are waterproof. Firstly, the children predicted what they thought would happen when water was poured on to various materials and then enjoyed trying it out to see if they were right. I have included some photos of the children in their PE class with Mrs Soares and also photos of the children writing poetry on National Poetry Day. We enjoyed reading poems and then they worked individually to write lines of a poem and then together in groups to decide the best order for their lines and produced a verse!
You will also see a picture of our lovely class assistant Mrs Balcombe. I am sure some of you will have heard by now that she will be leaving us at half term to take on pastures new. On a personal note having worked with Sarah for 14 years I am going to be very sad to lose her. I don’t think its really sunk in yet! She will be a tremendous loss to us all as a class, and I know the children are all very fond of her and will be sad with the news. I’m sure many of you will want to say goodbye and good luck to her.
