St. Francis' Catholic Primary School

"For it is in giving that we receive." St. Francis of Assisi

A busy week again!

10th February 2017

The week began with lots of hard work and assessments and ended with a class liturgy and a cake sale!  In the following photos you will see a mix of a few activities the children have taken part in this week. These first ones show the children during a gymnastics lesson with Mrs Soares. You can see how they are working on their techniques and honig their gymnastic skills.

In RE we have been looking at different parts of the Mass and decided to write our own liturgy. The children chose which hymns we sang, which prayers we said and which Bible story to read. Well done to Fraser who played the part of the priest and to Bella, India and Daisy who read prayers.

The school council were in charge of the cake sale today and the children certainly enjoyed spending their money and at the same time raising money for the statue of St Francis.

Well, that's it for this week. Hope you all have a lovely half term. Don't forget to use Spellodrome and Mathletics and the children have two books to read as well as their Maths and English homework!
