Welcome to year 2 in Larch
Friday 16th September
Well here is the first blog for Larch Class 2016-2017. No photos this week I'm afraid as the camera is out of action but hopefully this will be sorted for next week.
The children have settled in well and are getting used to the new routines and time tables. The weather has been glorious (apart from today)! and they have coped well with the heat. The first lot of homework has gone home tonight so please help the children to set it out properly and assist them if needed. The maths is a revision of what we have been learning in class so hopefully will not be too hard. We had a visit from Fr Sean this afternoon and he discussed our topic of 'Beginnings' with us. It was lovely to have him join us as we sang and prayed and the children behaved beautifully.
Thank you to everyone who attended the meeting on Monday. If you missed it, all the information was contained in the letter that went home. Please feel free to come in and ask if you have any questions. It's been lovely to have parents in already to hear readers and help in class. It makes a huge difference so if you haven't already but want to come in please speak to me. Obviously you have to have the correct paperwork!!
Have a lovely weekend everyone.
