Art all the way
5th October 2018
This week has involved lots of art work due to Christmas and National Poetry Week. Firstly the children designed their own Christmas cards and these have now been sent to the printers. Then, as part of National Poetry Week they studied a poem from the first world war and thought about how some colours and words are cheerful and bring joy and others can be gloomy and dark. Dividing their paper in two they showed the contrast between these two elements and these will be on display soon.
On Tuesday we had a visit from Year 9 girls from Woldingham School. They presented an assembly on Road Safety to the children and then came into class to do some follow up work. The children really enjoyed their visit and having older pupils to help them with their work.
