Who can use the drop off zone and how does it work?

The drop off zone is a PTA organised, volunteer-lead service.  The volunteers are on duty from 8.45-9.00am every school morning to help chiildren out of their cars, and through the school gates safety.  This allows for many cars to come through the zone quickly and safely.  Any parents from St Francis can use this service to drop off their children, they ask only that you don't get out of the car yourself, that you move along as swiftly as possible and move forward to the furthest volunteer possible to allow others to get out behind your car.

They rely on volunteers to keep this service running, and with enough volunteers, you are only on duty once every few weeks so please offer your details to them at  dropoff.stfrancis@gmail.com .

If it's raining in the morning, how does drop off work?

If it's raining at 8.45 when the school gates open, a decision will be made by the staff whether it is "wet drop off" or not.  If it is thought to be too wet for the children to play in the playground before school starts, they will all go directly to their classrooms where staff will be there to supervise them and get them ready for the school day.

Where can I get the personalised, house-coloured t-shirts for sports day?

The PTA arrange this in the weeks before sports day, watch out for an order form coming out through the book bags or contact them on stfrancisschoolassociation@googlemail.com.

What is the school uniform?  Where do I buy it? When do they wear summer/winter uniform?

The uniform at St Francis is shown below.  Items marked with * can be purchased from our local supplier www.onlineschooluniform.co.uk . They will deliver to school free of charge or to your home for a small delivery fee.

Please make sure ALL items are labelled with the child's name.
