Preparing for Jesus' birth

Friday 16th December

In our RE lessons we have been learning about the birth of Jesus and the stories in the Bible which tell us about this very special event. We have taken everything that we have learnt and drawn each part of the Nativity story onto the net of a cube.

Here are some of our finished drawings of the Nativity.
We then had to cut out the cube net very carefully.
Finally, we had to fold the net into a cube and stick it together. This was quite tricky!
Then our Nativity story cubes were finished.
Once we had all finished we took it in turns to roll our cubes. Which ever picture the cube landed on, we had to tell that part of the story to our partner.
We were very good at listening to each other tell the story.
We did very well retelling the story in lots of detail.
We then took our cubes home so that we could retell the Nativity story with our families.

Cedar Class, Miss Nash and Mrs Day would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas filled with the joy and peace of the birth of Jesus.
