Monet would be proud!

Tuesday 5th July

In Cedar class we have been looking at the French artist, Claude Monet. When we were looking at light and dark in science we looked at how Monet liked to paint the same scene at different times of the day, as the light changed so did the colours he saw. Now in science, we are learning about plants so we have looked at his landscape paintings.

We used watercolour paint and mixed our own colours to create a painting based on one of Monet's.
We worked hard all morning, taking care and time, mixing colours carefully whilst looking closely at Monet's painting.

We painted either the water lily pond, Monet's garden at Giverny, Poppy field near Giverny or The Bridge over the water lily pond. Didn't we do well? Miss Nash is very impressed with all the artists in her class. Well done Cedar Class.
