Father Sean's visit

On Friday afternoon Year 1 and Year 2 were very lucky to have a visit from Father Sean.  In Beech Class we have been learning about baptism as part of our RE topic called 'Signs and Symbols'.  Father Sean explained what happens and answered questions from the children all about it.

We have also been busy this week learning about 'commutativity'.  The children practised adding up 2 numbers by swapping them around and achieving the same answer.  We also worked out why 'commutativity' doesn't work for subtraction.  The children enjoyed playing an online 'commutativity' game.  Here is the link if you'd like to try it at home:
