Ready, Steady,  Go!

This week was an exciting week for us all in Beech Class, with Sports Day on Friday and our 'Art' day on Wednesday.

Henri Matisse

On Wednesday the children enjoyed 'painting with scissors', creating pictures in the style of Henri Matisse.  The classroom looked like there had been a shower of paper bits, but, as usual, everyone was fantastic at tidying up and it was very much worth it in the end.

Sports Day

Well done to all of the children for taking part so enthusiastically in Sports Day and for Miss McNicholas for organising it all.  Well done too to the PTA for keeping the adults fed and watered throughout the day and for running such a fabulous Summer Fayre after school.

We started off with some hockey:

Next, it was time for some target practice before getting a soaking during the water race.

The 'Welly Wang' was as popular as ever, with many hundreds of points scored.

The children all showed great determination in the races, as did the parents!!!  Well done to all for taking part.

Please remind the children to wear their hats and suncream to school and to keep on sending plenty of water for them to drink.  Feel free to send in any suncream for topping up.
